Frequently Asked Questions
We accept returns within 30 days. All we ask is that the phone is returned in the same condition you received it - completely free of any scratches or damage. Please be aware that there is a €40 restocking fee on all returned phones.
Imagine, while you and your family are sleeping, some shady guys in dark suits slip the lock on your back door, enter your house, go into your filing cabinet and photo albums and take copies of whatever they want. They then leave without you ever even knowing they were there.
This is basically what is happening digitally to almost everyone. When installing a big-tech app, most people actually consent to sharing their private data by selecting “accept” when presented with an incredibly long and unreadable “terms and conditions” agreement.
Remember, if the app or service is free, then YOU are the product.
At Jediphone, we understand that wanting privacy is not about “having something to hide”. It’s about having dignity and knowing your rights.
Yes you can use them safely with the Jediphone. With Graphene OS you can create a secure “enclave” for untrustworthy apps as well as multiple “users” on the same phone for further segregation. The secure enclave and each “user” is completely separate to the others, so it’s like having multiple phones in one. For example, “user 1” can be your usual privacy focused space and the secure enclave “work profile” where you keep your social media apps. “User 2” can be for your online banking apps.
Graphene OS allows you to run “sandboxed” versions of the Google Play Store and all other Google apps. This puts you in full control and allows you to decide what permissions those apps have (if any).
Of course you can also choose to have a completely “Google-Free” device if you want.
It is worth mentioning that some activists have created “wrapped” versions of popular social media and messaging apps which will allow you to use them safely anywhere on your phone.
Apps can be downloaded and installed from these open source app stores:
F-Droid is a FOSS (free open source software) repository. All apps are safe and free from spying or tracking.
Aurora is an anonymised version of the Google Play Store. Although you can download apps anonymously, they may still contain trackers and / or require Google Play Services to run.

Jediphone is as private and secure a solution you can get - and it will always be as private as *you* decide. We will provide you with a new phone that is private, fully functional and ready to go. From then on it’s up to you.
You will need to learn a few things and get used to some new habits to ensure your privacy and security is maintained. Don’t worry though, it’s easier than you think!
